Free games & purchases

How do the two free games work?

No game is free by default: you choose. In the Games tab, tap a locked game, Ardoise will offer to make it one of your two free games. Once confirmed, it's yours. Settings → Purchases → "Free Games" shows the ones you've already claimed.

Can I change my free game?

No: the choice is final, which is why Ardoise asks you before starting the game. If you made a mistake, each game remains available individually.

What does Ardoise Complete include?

All current games, all games that will be added in future versions, and ad removal. This is a one-time purchase, no subscription.

Does buying a game remove ads?

No. An individually purchased game unlocks that game only. Ads are removed with No Ads (€1.99) or with Ardoise Complete (€4.99).

New device or reinstallation: how do I restore my purchases?

Purchased games: Settings → "Restore Purchases", with the same Apple ID as at the time of purchase.
Free games: they are stored in your iCloud account and will automatically reappear, provided you are logged into the same iCloud account.

A refund?

Payments are entirely handled by Apple. For a refund request, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where are my games saved?

On your device only: Ardoise has no account or server. They are included in device backups (iCloud or computer) but do not sync from one device to another. Deleting the app erases games that are not in any backup.

I made a mistake entering a round

In the score sheet, tap the relevant round, then "Delete round", and enter it again. Totals will update.

The game is over, but we want to continue

Ardoise suggests closing the game when it's played, without ever forcing it. If you have closed it, "Resume Game" in the game menu reopens it.

My table doesn't count like that

Many games have conventions that vary from table to table: target score, defense points in coinche, rummy scoring... Set them when creating the game, in "Game Conventions". They remain fixed for the current game. If your variant is missing, write to us: that's how settings are enriched.

A calculation seems wrong to me

Each scoring system is checked on a case-by-case basis, but an error is still possible. Write to us describing the round (game, contract or combination, points entered, displayed result and expected result): we will correct it quickly. Already entered rounds keep their original score, so as never to change a played game.

Does Ardoise's poker use real money?

No, never. Ardoise counts chips for a game played with real cards, among friends, when you don't have chips handy. There is no money stake, no winnings, and no chips to buy.

I don't know the rules of a game

Each game has its guide: the goal, the course of a round and each term on the entry screen explained. It is accessible when creating a game, from the menu of an ongoing game, and via the "i" button in the Games tab, even for a game that is still locked.

Advertising & Privacy

Where do ads appear?

In two places only: a banner on the main screens (My Games, Games, History, Settings), and sometimes an ad at the end of a game on a free game. Never during a game.
